When you think about the heart of Europe- or any empire, kingdom, etc.- you probably picture many cultures, ethnicities, languages, and foods; you see a whole mix at the crossroads between cities and countries. However, that\’s not really the case here in Czechia. The country has little diversity and a poor reputation for xenophobic attitudes toward foreigners, but what if that could change? What if that has to change? In the years to come, Czechia will need to fill in the 25% gap in the economy, need more laborers, need to find a new way to sustain the population because the birthrate is low, and will be looking for resourceful ways to cover the costs of surging energy prices and inflation. This project dives into the history of the Czech people and discovers the root of poor immigration while providing a solution that is personal, inter-cultural, builds upon Czech values, and is architectural.
